Yes, thanks for that, went on the forum a few minutes ago. We were last there in June (5th time) and I was going again in September but changed my mind and now off to Mauritius but will definitely return to Sri Lanka hopefully next year.

Thanks for the warning - I love the country and am looking forward to going back in November.
It's hard to believe that they (and their important tourist industry) would set off to so cleverly shoot themselves in the foot so soon after the war finished.
