I know nobody can predict the future, but is there historically a period where flights to New York become cheaper?
Don't really want to book up for next July now if the price drops after Xmas???
any help would be greatly apreciated....
p.s
I would be looking at flying out of either Bristol, Birmingham, Heathrow.
Thanks in advance.
Rich
The economic climate and even the weather at the turn of the year can mean airline operators offer limited price sales to New York (including June/July departures.) The New York crossing has ample capacity, many airlines with seats and I would always wait out at least to the new year but like everything if you see a price you like then you should take it.....

BA and Virgin often have very short window seat sales. You will sometimes find a deal when those are on however I notice sometimes they are on not the best timed flights - i.e. the return flight will be one leaving NYC early in the morning so whilst the flight might be £30-£50 cheaper than the evening return flight, you will end up spending more paying for an extra night of accommodation.
I think Continntal are pulling our of Bristol so that option may no longer be available to you anyway.
I'll sign up to Kayak and see how it goes, I have been to New York for the past 2 years and prices
appear to be much cheaper in February/March for some reason, don't know if the hotels have sales
on then or if the flights are cheaper, I never really paid any attention to the individual prices, just the
grand total...Thanks again.
