From the Sonesta beach Resort you can walk into the sea as many do, of course you have to dodge the coral etc, wouldn't recommend it with fins on, but definitely sea-shoes. Otherwise you can go off a small jetty down the steps, either way i have done, no bother.

Most do have a jetty, but in Naama Bay area it isnt to bad, and some jettys go for miles 
The Marriott, you can enter the sea as well.
If you are trying Sonesta Beach thats fine, but do not get it mixed up with Sonesta Club.
