Hi
Stayed at Casa Sea shells for 2 weeks in December & would recommend it. The rooms were clean & whilst not very big they were fine, they were cleaned every day & towels & bedding changed regular. You could hire a fridge 80 rupees per day & safety dep box 20 rupees per day
The staff were friendly & I really couldn't fault anything. The breakfast was complimentary tea, toast & jam or you could order from the menu (waiter service).
I also liked the fact that there was a tipping box in reception, it is shared out every month & staff aren't aware who's tipped what. I think this way both staff & customer are all treated the same.
Would stay here again, my daughter was staying at the Highland & whilst she enjoyed her stay there, when she saw our rooms & the gardens, she also would stay here in the future (also much cheaper).
Nearly forgot, the only down side was the power cuts as the rooms aren't powered by the generator only the restaurant. However you do get a candle & hey this is Goa....
Hi - staying there next week (13th Jan) stayed there last year too....what was the daily rate???
I'm almost sure the rate was 750 rupee(could have been 700) per night up until Dec 15th & then it went up to 950 .
How much have you been quoted?
thanks for that - not sure. Will email Royston in the week and double check. V excited now
Could someone PM me the email address for the above - cheers x
Can anyone let me have an e-mail address for the Casa Sea Shell (I think the owners name is Rodriguez).
Many thanks
The email for the Casa Sea Shell in Candolim is seashellgoa@hotmail.com. We stayed there 3 years ago and had a wonderful time - the rooms are basic but spotless and at only Rs1050/night for a family over Christmas - great value. The restaurant is also probably one of the best in Candolim.
The 'main man' at the Casa Sea Shell is Royston (his parents own both this hotel and the Sea Shell Inn) and the person who dealt with rooms when we went was Lawrence.
Hope you enjoy your stay!
Kirstie
Thanks Kirstie, much appreciated
