Right Na'ama Bay it is! It seems to be the most central, with the most amenities and with the nicest beaches...If we arent keen on all the bright lights etc then we can get taxi/bus to somewhere else
So now for the hard bit - where to stay? We really want to go as cheaply as possible, without staying in anywhere unclean or with awful food!
Prefer minimum of 4* if not 5*
Any ideas?
Kim
You will find the most off site amenities but not the best beaches . For those you would have to go further out .

Here are some other hotels that do AI hotels in Naama -
Actually hilton sharm dreams is a quite central . I'd forgotton they were now doing A/I . It's on the other side of the peace Rd from what I remember so not beach side but I'm guessing you can walk through hilton Fayrouz and use their section of beach .
There are a lot of folk who at first are not aware of this I've spent a few nights in bars explaining about how you can't have a Coral reef AND a beach, usually to Russians
The beach isnt great at sharks bay and as gray says man made but the coral /snorkling and sea life superb there .
I think compromises would have to be made with any location in Sharm , it's just of question of narrowing down what is the most important to you .

oh i am completely confused now as to which area to go!!!
Sharm is more about the sea & coral than the beaches if that makes sense. I think the beaches up at Nabq might be man made as well as the sand is very coarse, but because the terrain at that end is flater they have made more of the beaches than the way they have where the beaches are cut into the side of the rocks.
Try and look at pictures in brochures for hotels in Nabq like The Holiday Village, the Laguna Beach Hotel, The Grand Azure, The Jaz Mirabel Beach hotel, think the Oriental Resort is up there too - that might give you more of an idea what its like beach wise.
The Conrad had the best beach, but I think the hotel is closed for a rerub at the moment and is being relaunched under a different name.
If you don't mind crossing the busy Peace Road the Ghazala Gardens is a 4* all inclusive hotel available through redseaholidays.co.uk but sometimes available through their booking agents on teletext holidays. Guests are welcome to use the beach at the Ghazala Beach hotel which is situated on the promenade between Maritim Jolie Ville and Hilton Fayrouz.
I haven't stayed there but know a travel agent who has - she is extremely well travelled and absolutely loved the hotel. There are plenty of photos and reviews on Trip Advisor.
Regards, Caro
thanks for the ideas guys
as caro suggests gazala gardens i stayed there in May it was a lovely hotel with very good food you can use facitites across the road at gazala beach which is as you would think is on the beach you have your own AI bar there as well 10-5 and can use the resturant lunchtime . i would go back tomorrow if i had my way the hotel location is brillant 3 minutes walk to the heart of naama bay
Location is excellent just a few minutes in to the centre of Naama and just go over the road and through the Ghazala Beach and down on to the beach which is on the other side of the promenade that runs along the beach.
The Ghazala has a nice bar down on the beach which does a great happy hour
thanks for all the suggestions guys
Glad you have made a decision, have a great time
Have a lovely holiday:)
