Hello
my young son is dual diagnosed with autism and attention deficit disorder, and i am wondering if airlines provide specific assistance with regard to this disability, for example boarding first or last, so it will ease the discomfort for my son.
Now, before the negative comments start to come, i would just like to say that i would pay any money in the world for my 7 year old son to have a 'normal' childhood, but unfortunetly no amount of money will change the fact that he is disabled.
We will be travelling with thomson airlines.
thanks
hope you have a great time
thankyou for your kind reply.
I suppose i was a bit harsh in my opening comment about receiving negative comments, but i have had bad experiences with british people, who think that just because my son 'looks normal', then i must be trying it on to get these perks.
Thanks again, and i will phone up the airline very soon, but we don't depart until April.
Im a nearly qualified learning disability nurse (just got one last placement and 1 more essay to do at uni), and this book is in my university library.
I was having a look to see if this question had arisen before and it gets a few mentions in various flight forums, if you put autism in to the search facility at the top of the page you will find many references to it which might be of some help to you.
thankyou , i will do that now.
