Just got back yesterday from our second three-month stay at our home in Konacik just outside Bodrum. What can I say? We had a fantastic time - actually "living" there rather than just being on holiday was so good. We did quite a bit of travelling - Hisaronu, Olu Deniz, Dalyan, Fethiye, Ephesus, Pamukkale - and it has just given us the bug to visit more and more of Turkey, Cappadoccia and more eastwards next time.
We met so many lovely people - both Turkish residents and British holidaymakers, and also had the privilege of attending the wedding of our Turkish neighbours.
Yes, there were some frustrations - some things Turkey does exceedingly well, others exceedingly slowly. There was some hard work - I shovelled 14 tons of gravel for our driveway. All in all, would I do it again? Of course I would, and will do so next year (flights booked already)!!

It's certainly a lot different living there to being on holiday isn't it? I'm glad you had a such a good time. Now it's back to the cold of an English winter
