i've booked a holiday through Thomas CookMay 11 to Oasis Palm Beach Cancun. Recently tried to book for my son to go however, this hotel does not show up on the website for the dates selected, so changed the dates, still not showed up. Went onto google and tried booking from any other website but could not book.
Just contacted Thomas Cook as I was getting concerned to be told that there hasnt been any changes to my booking but they have been "put on hold" meaning that they are no longer able to book this hotel.
Does anybody know what this actually means and should I be getting worried. I have found that they have just changed their names to Be Live (dont know if that has anything to do with no holiday company being able to book )
Thanks
There are many reasons why a hotel may be put on "Stop Sale", it could be the hotel has changed ownership and they are renegotiating rates for new bookings, whereas your booking is protected as it's already confirmed. In my experience (15 years travel agent) this is the most likely explaination.
Don't worry, and ask your travel agent to put a note in his/her diary to keep checking for when it goes back on sale... A good agent will be more than happy to do this for you!
Hope this helps!
