well, I just got back about a fortnight ago from a short break in Benidorm. Stopped at Levante lux apartments, which we liked, big appartments and in a good area.
anyway, I hadn't been to Benidorm for 18 months previous to this, which is a long while

We were pleasantly surprised though that the prices hadn't change much, many a bar are doing pints for a euro. The old town was packed. I heard it was something to do with the Spanish government somehow encouraging the older folk to to take a winter break and keep the place going. Don't know the truth of it, but it was very busy indeed.

Other highlights was a very good chinese meal at the china gardens (halfway up the road towards Benidorm palace) less than five euro for a very good 3 course chinese meal with wine!!!

At the heartbreak bar on Levante beach, a guy called 'Wammy' plays on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Good all round entertainer.

wammy is a good mate of taggy and myself , good old rocker , sometimes plays at western saloon and rock n roll bar , few years back he used to play jumping jacks every afternoon, grey long hair with beard , anyone else remember him ???
