Hi this is my first post on the Goa forum. I have never been to Goa before due to the fact I have always believed its for couples and familys but me and my younger brother would love to go there after reading several posts/topics on here. My mum says she would be worried about me and my brother going there.
Anyway my question is do they have veiws and ruels with same sex people holidaying there? It would be a nightmare wouldnt it if they thought we was a couple lol.
Maybe Goa just isnt ment to be for us...
Danny I would say you and your brother would have a fab time in Goa I would not give a toss what other people think if they see 2 fellas together if you wish just say to people this is the brother ..just thought I would say to you its not like Spain not a lot of clubs for dancing but you will still find lots and lots to do ...colleen
Thank you for your quick reply thats much appreciated. Me (21) and my brother (18) go on holidays usually to Spain but want to try something totally different.. we are not heavey drinkers and not one for clubbing on holiday we just like nice beach/food and going for walks in the day and meeting new people.. Like you say it dosent matter what people think (aslong as we know..)
Im hoping that some members on here would be good enough to assist us in finding the right hotel and location that would suit us best.
Danny
Go for it my bro and a Friend (male) shared no problem also my bro and his son.
Goa is like nothing you have seen before not bad but different, cows on the main road and will not move out of the way of traffic,4 people on a scooter/bike people moving things on scooters like TV, small wardrobe, pig rolled up in a carpet. I have only stayed in Candolim and do not do clubs.
Food and drink very cheap compared to UK i will normally cash a £50 t/cheque for me and the wife for two days.Do not go looking for trouble and you will be OK if it looks like trouble walk away.
Go enjoy you will be glad you did
lovely beaches, good food, plenty of walking, you walk more or less wherever you want to,and really friendly locals.
Don't worry what other people may or may not think.I certainly don't think there will be a problem with you being two lads(even if you were partners....so what).
Give Goa a go. Paula
They don't seem to get any hassle that I have noticed.
Maybe worth making it absolutely clear twin beds not double when you book hotel etc.
You won't have any problems in Goa. The Indian men often walk around with their arms around each other and this is not because there gay but just good mates. I'm sure there will be a few single females around but not in the numbers you'd see in Spain. Try it I'm sure you'll have a great time.
You must Go! You Will both love it, and they will make you welcome!
Do it while you can, get out there and enjoy it !!!!!!!, sounds like you would be better off in the Candolim area it is not as hectic as Baga and Calangute, let us all know if you book and get along to the meets while you are there.
