cheneymarion ... can you email them and request a specific room ??? were going 4th july for 10 days and would like to do this ?
Good evening - Sunrise Island View - fully recommend this hotel, if you want a room just a few steps from the main swimming pool and not much further to the restaurant maybe room 175 would be ideal, but when you book you must remember to upgrade your room to a suite (not expensive) the majority of rooms at the Sunrise Island View are suite rooms - go you will enjoy it, fantastic hotel - enjoy
hey sistersledge ... weve booked a junior suite ? is that the same thing or different ? do you get the sun during the day in most of the room balconies ? we usually take our daughters up for a sleep so wouldnt mind sitting out on the balcony whilst their snoozing ??

Staying at the Sunrise Island View hotel any one know if it as a walk in pool ?
I have had a slight stroke last year and lost grip in my left hand find it difficult to pull myself up from the water holding onto the steps as i recently got back from Turkey and found this out
We are really looking forward to go here as we normally stay at the Coral Sea Resort in Nabq bay
Has any one just returned from here and could say what is food and drink like ?
We got a letter a few weeks ago saying International brand drinks are taken off but that don't really bother us
What is entertainment like in hotel etc etc ?
Any info would be truely grateful thank you
Any good trips we can do from sharks bay boat trips etc etc x
hey celine ... you mentioned that you got a letter about the international drinks ? we havent recieved this and was wondering what it says ?
Celine- the adults pool is a walk in one. Nice and quiet round this pool, but no bar or loos there.
Hi re-guarding the letter about International drinks it just says they are no longer avail on the A/I but can be bought for a small fee we got this letter months ago
What is the depth of the large pool?
The website says that the hotel offers the "Ultra All Inclusive" service offers you all meals, beverages including imported spirits (according to the market availability) 24 hours per day.
However a number of booking site in the UK stated that imported drinks are NOT included, but then again some booking sites do include!
From googling it appears that the hotel offers 4? levels of service depending on who you book with. If so, what is is not included if you do not have "ultra"
I understand that this hotel uses a card system, rather than wristband. Is this still the case?
How many restaurants are available for evening meal? Do these need to be booked? Is it an issue to book and get in?
and finally, when does the AI end. When you are picked up from the hotel, or on the morning when you leave your room
there is 3 restraunts only 2 need to be booked that is Fatamas on the beach which iks lovely and also the Italian also lovely xx
Any thing else you need to know just ask xx

I am more confused now? How does the hotel determine if you are on AI if you dont get a wristband or a card? particular as guests are on different meal plans etc.
If it is not all ultra, what is exclused from the standard AI deal
When does the AI end? at 12 on the last day, or when you leave the hotel
What they don't tell you is the btl water is free if you go to the bar near reception adult only bar you ask for btl water sign for it but its free you dont get charged also at the bar were the reps desks are
You do get 2 btl off water in fridge everyday and cans off pop once a week free
When we booked it we got told it was ultra but its not we got a letter 4 weeks b4 going saying international drinks are not included the bar shuts at midnight but the the swim up bar is open till 1am .
They is a good selection off drinks cocktails etc the list is on the bar
Hope this helps a bit any more info just ask

Thanks for you info. Defiantly trying to get into the SIV, sounds ideal.
I have been in contact with the hotel, to try and resolve the "ultra" question, who responded that " not all the guest in the hotel are based on ultra all inclusive and it depends on the meal plan and the contracts with travel agents"
It does therefore appear that there are different levels of AI. Is everything signed to the room? and hence some may get ultra and others not?
As far as I can tell the only difference would be as follows
1) International Drinks
2) 24hr - not close at 12-1am
3) massage?
4) haircut?
No deal breaker for me, as midnight is later enough, and local drinks are fine with me. Is there anything that they are charging for, that you feel should be included on a AI deal.
Midnight is later enough for me, and I am ok with local drinks (i.e beer)
We didn't pay for nothing at all there's a supermarket over road from hotel sell everything crisps etc etc very cheap cheaper than shops in the hotel
Also ask hotel b4 u go for a room with a balcony upstairs room there are much better than ground floor ones
We would defo go bk it was nice food was good Fatamas on the beach was lovely there do food all day long but night time you do need to prebook it
Italian you gotta book for lunch and night meal
snack bar is pretty good too ice creams are lovely
Discount for the spa and free meals at ala carte restaurants un limited times prior to reservation and upon availability.and to upgrade from all inclusive to ultra it cost 10$ per person per night"
On standard AI are you limiedted to 1x vist to fatima and italian?
Hiya all been looking to book the Sunrise Island gardens myself . .then realise there's also the Sunrise Island View. . is there much difference between the two? Im dizzy looking at holidays online Also who did you get the best deal with? Thanx in advance.
Sunrise Island View leads down to a beach and the sea - Sunrise Gardens does not have access to a beach - my preference is the Sunrise Island View - you will enjoy it
This is not true - both the Italian and Fatimas restaurents at the Sunrise Island View can be used as many times as you wish but you do have to book, they are open at lunch times and in the evenings - dont bother buying ultra inclusive
