Cyprus is not a Greek island so do not expect that Greek feel so much, we went to Corfu last year and although we enjoyed the experience would not return, we prefer Kos although we have been to Zakynthos 4 times in the last 3 yrs this year its Cefalonia in may and Kos in October

I love Corfu and most certainly will return. We've stayed in Acharavi (years ago before it was an up and coming resort) and spent our 25th wedding anniversary in Kassiopi 5 years ago. It's such a pretty island and the locals are so friendly. We took an around the island tour and the scenery was absolutely stunning.

Sorry I can't comment on Cyprus, it's somewhere that I've said I've wanted to go but the prices have always put me off.

If you want more of a Greek feel to your holiday I would certainly choose Corfu over Cyprus, I have been to both and enjoyed both but wouldn't be quick to return to Cyprus.

If you do choose Corfu pick your resort carefully as some of the resorts are VERY lively and commercialised, like shirley I like Kassiopi.
