Hi, My family and I have booked our flights and we are flying into Athens and out of Santorini in August (school holidays) and wondered if anybody had been to Sikinos, Syros or Tinos/Milos.
Any info appreciated.
We spent 18 days in the southern Cyclades last year flying into Santorini and back from Athens. We met many others doing various routes and the island that most people seemed to mention was Folegandros, nobody was unimpressed. If time allows maybe you could take a look when you are in Sikinos. We also like the look of Milos but because of its position connections were less frequent.
Thanks RDV, thats exactly the kind of feedback Im after. Ill have a real look at Folegandros. Any other feedback like this from anyone is very mucgh appreciated
We had not visited the Cyclades since 2000 and found a big improvement in the ferry services. We used the highspeed from Paros to Piraeus and despite some huge seas around Mykonos we arrived on time. In early July this boat was full so certainly on this service in August booking is advised. We found all the ferries to be modern & comfortable unlike the old flying dolphins we had used in the past. We had a great time and could have stayed longer but we'll be back in the summer.
Syros and Tinos are both lovely, Tinos being rather quiet and peaceful
