I've just come back from town, and bought myself a lovely dark purple bag from accessorize for all my plane goodies

I use my black hand luggage bag , inside is folder containing passports, tickets and paperwork, also wallet , ipod, camera, book, newspaper and a packet of mini cheddars and jelly babies.
i always wear something comfortable and shoes that are "worn" in .

Sucky sweets for when the plane takes off and lands
Baby wipes
Make up
Mossie wipes
Tootbrush and toothpaste
Travel docs
A pen

Document wallet
Wet wipes

Walkman and tapes (my age giveaway)
Pashmina (plane sometimes cold)

Sunglasses (for when we land)
Small purse of foreign currency.

I have had a thin nylon travel back pack for years now, it is lightweight,can fold up quite small, it has room for all my bits and bobs, which tend to be sandwiches and crisps ( cant stand plane food), makeup, book and various medicines . I use it when I get on my hols for carrying towels etc. My partner makes fun of it , but I wouldnt be without it

and sometimes a pack of playing cards which is always a waste of time as they don't fit on the trays!

Most important thing is my netbook as it's loaded with films and tv programs! Although I usually end up watching Die Hard again! I find the plane so boring, my legs are up against the seat in front, I can never sleep and I just wish I could shut my eyes and then open them and be on holiday!
Coming home I normally wear shorts and a short sleeved shirt to which my wife always says, you'll freeze on the plane and when we arrive back in England! Guess what? I always freeze on the plane and am freezing when we arrive back in England! lol
