We stayed at Beria Mar 2 years ago and thought it was not to bad for what it cost us B/Fast basic used our own coffee but rooms were fairly clean ,and towels changed ok.Hotel real close to good eating places and close to beach so you save on taxis..Anyhow faults we found has not put us off for we are back there again in 3 weeks time. I think some people think they should have 5 star for 2 or 3 star prices.

I agree with the FOXES,been to the Beira Mar many times and yes it is very basic.At the end of the day,you get what you pay for and it is cheap compared to a lot of others.The place could do with a good clean and a lick of paint!!!This year(Jan)we were a dissapointed with a couple of rooms we were offered,but decided to settle on the first one as it had afternoon sun on the balcony,which the others did not,in fact one of the rooms had a window more or less blocked by a tree.
I know some people left the Beira Mar to go elsewhere,but after a day or two of just relaxing,you tend to overlook the bad bits and enjoy the good.
The restaurant is clean,the food is good and Raymond(restaurant manager)and his staff are excellent.
The hotel is in avery central position for the beach etc. have good holiday, Paula

we were booked there for 3 weeks in Jan. After the first night we asked to be moved. the second room was a little bit better but was still dirty when they would not move us again we moved out and stayed in a guest house in Calangute. I have stayed in Goa 5 times so knew what to expect but this was easily the worst we have ever stayed in. we could not see through the windows they were that dirty the table had no glass in so could not put anything on it. The stairways were full of dirt, cobwebs and dirty pots were not moved so flies etc were all over. The sheets were dirty even whebn they were changed. I know some people like it but this is just our opinion.

Would not stay there again even if I won a free holiday
