some friends stayed there early last year and whilst not in love with the place they said it was OK (!)
Not a great hotel. Not stayed there but have visited and seen the rooms. If only using it as base may be OK. The rooms looked clean enough but the property is very run down and desperately in need to a revamp
stayed there twice - the place is very basic and clean I would have no problem staying there again.
It's very popular with ornatholists(did I spell that right?)anyway birdwatchers,as it has open coutryside at the rear.Take your binoculars if your interested.
As other posters have said it's basic and not great but if you're prepared to just sleep there, it's well located.
Thank you all for your answers.I am still a bit worried about this hotel but as we only paid £330 each for the fortnights holiday and bearing in mind that the first choice planes are great Im sure if its that awful we will book in else where and still be better off! Thanks again!!
The rooms are basic but clean, and ideally based for the restaurants and nice and close to the beach.
We also had a cheap deal, but too be honest I am not worried, it is only somewhere to sleep off the hangover
You will have a great time.
We are going on 9th March too from Gatwick. How weird is that? Thank you for telling me you have been before. If you are going again it cant be that bad!!!
Looks like we are probably on the same flight, only 8 weeks to go
only 7 weeks now.We look forward to seeing you at hotel Rachie!
You will probably guess its me running round the hotel chasing a 22 month old, closely follwed by my niece and nephew
We are not that noisy really - sure we won't spoil the atmosphere
Rach
hya can anybody tell me where the beira mar is near i know its in baga but i cant place it, also has anybody been there??
Enjoy !!!
My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Biera Mar from the 11th of March. Have read the review on this site and asked about it... It's meant to be fairly nice, but basic and we'll need to pay exra for air con. Have read elsewhere that it's meant to be a fave amoung bird watchers and that the views over the paddy fields are meant to be quite amazing!
Since I've never been to Goa, I've no idea where it is! So will be interested in reading peoples replys. However we were told that it was pretty close to the beach which is good!
Hope this helps!
Goldie

Kay's review. Thanks Kay.
here is
stayed at this hotel twice with wife and 2 kids, cannot really add nothing to reviews as they say it all - I would have no problem staying there again
