despite the fact that I've now ticked the no box, I'm still receiving the e-mails.

You will need to unsubscribe from the already subscribed topics:

Mark, please tell ne there is an easier way to do this. I've just ticked 68 boxes in the watched topics and that was just on my first page. There are 21 pages of my watched topics. I don't understand what's classed as a watched topic as I haven't subscribed to any of them and when I was using my old e-mail address I didn't get one notification of a reply

Tbh, it's going to take all night to untick 21 pages full.

There should be a "mark all / unmark all" link somewhere on the screen (bottom right) where you can tick all the boxes on the page in 1 go.

Thanks again Mark. I've now ticked all boxes on the 21 pages going back to 2005. How can that be that I've been supposedly subscribed to topics since 2005 and have only just started having notification of replies in 2011

I'm a bit dubious that this is going to work- I'm a real doubting Thomas. I'm hoping that I won't get any more notifications of any further topics I read or post about.
