Tersefanou was a small agricultural village until it was decided to build a golf course there. It is now a huge mass of developments, mostly apartments, some finished and some half built.
Needless to say, the golf course has not materialised, the investment in these apartments is now not worth much, and there are over one thousand of them up for rent as no-one can sell.
There is nothing in the village of any interest, however the surrounding areas are better. Kiti and Pervolia have some good tavernas. There is access to the beach from many places along the coastal road. The Mazotos Camel Park is nearby, as is the town of Larnaca. Larnaca has a seafront promenade known as Finikoudes which is lined with good restaurants and bars, and the old town and the church of St. Lazarus is worth visiting. Mackenzie beach is also a good beach which is just the other side of the airport.
Limassol is a big city as well as a tourist resort. There are the ancient remains of Amathus to the east of the city, and the Kourion amphitheatre to the west.
You will certainly need a car - just go off and explore!
