As last year we stayed at the Horizon View and had another enjoyable stay. Visited Ganesh Shack most days with the added view of the dismantling of the RP. Not too much disruption but as the holiday went on i think the stretch of beach in front of the ship was becoming very untidy. The 3rd week especially i noticed the water becoming increasingly polluted. I think this was inevitable but heres hoping its just for the short term and returns to normal once shes away. On that 3rd week i broke out in a rash but im not sure if it was to do with the sea or from the clothes i had put into the laundrey that i had collected the previous day. I am leaning towards the clothes as after returning home on saturday with the rash almost away i put on shorts and a shirt that had been washed at the laundrette and the rash flared up again after a few hours. Still itching away as i type this

Spent a day at Laurencios shack the first week and can highly recommend. We also had a day at Ashwem and visited Pagan shack which was nice aswell. But most of the time was spent at Ganesh 'social club' with the many friends we have made over the years.
As you may well know i was led astray on daytrip to Panjim wih Spike. Im not a big drinker but Spike insisted on having a few beers in a few places so i returned to the wife some hours later quite merry ! Good day had. Cheers pal.
After 4 or 5 days im afraid the wife came down with the dreaded trots and sickness. Dont know if was food or the sun or if she picked up a bug somehere but she wasnt herself for close on a week.
I myself went down with same on our third week but i was ok after a day and one or two 'yellow bombs'. This was the day we had booked to go to Monkey Island so i lost a few quid on that but there was no way i was chancing a boat trip.
The restraunts we visited were Cayotes,Tonys,Roys,Rising Waves (twice),Top Nosh,Alexandrias,Friends (numerous) and Pande, all in Candolim. The Mira Hotel was also nice for Thai food in CAlangute and we also were at Kim Faa in Baga. This was the wifes favourite.
The sunset ferry from Panjim was also a hoot, especially with the 8% superlager ! Another good night out with Spike and Dee finishing up at the Delhi Darbar for a fabulous meal.
Mackies Market was another good night out with a few beers and some good fast food being devoured whilst watching the entertainment.
I also thought there was more rubbish lying around the streets and this is something that is going to have to be addressed sooner or later.
I would like to thank Chilly and the gang for making us welcome at the meet once again
and all the staff and friends at Ganesh shack for making it another enjoyable holiday.
Roll on next year
