Going to Biarritz in three weeks with a stop-over in Saumur. We're sailing into Zeebrugge and I'm torn between the prstty direct route round Paris (Perephique or the outer motorway system which I've done on various other holidays) or going down the coast and then dropping down and round Rouen.
The last couple of years it's taken almost 2 hours to get round Paris (however I do it) but I've also heard that Rouen is not the best of places to get round.
Mileage wise there's not that much in it, Rouen is a bit further round, but I feel may well be the quicker route.
Anyone done either/both and can offer advice/assistance or even an alternative.

If you are travelling in the weekend containing 12 June, which is Pentecôte over here and a bank holiday on Mon 13, be aware that there will be a lot of heavy holiday traffic as the Germans and the Swiss also have that weekend off!!
Might I suggest that you put your starting point and destination into Post a Reply
