Any info on the visa process would be appreciated.
I know you need to fill out a form, and find out the price of the visa before posting off.
Do you apply for a visa just for the length of your stay, or do you put extra dates either side?
Does the visa fee differ depending on the length of the visa, and if you are asking for a single or multiple entry?
Does the visa appear as a printed page in your passport?
Looking back at our's it was valid from the date of our arrival for 1 month and it has single entry printed on it, not sure about the fee but it is a printed page on your passport and you also pay a fee when leaving.
http://www.myvietnamvisa.com and it was cheaper and easier than doing it via the Embassy.
Filled in the form online and they sent us the paperwork via the internet which we took with us to Vietnam along with a couple of photos and paid the rest of the money on arrival at the airport.
We went for 3 months and the visa started on the day of arrival.
How long are you going for?
Will check up the prices and post them a little later.

You can apply for your visa up to 6 months before your arrival date.
The costs are - 1 month single entry $20 to pay when you apply plus $25 on arrival
3 month single entry $30 to pay and is also $25 on arrival ........
When you pay the visa company they send you an approval letter via the internet which you print off and take with you to Vietnam along with 2 regular sized passport photos. They also sent us a paper through the post confirming all this. They also convert the dollar cost to Sterling and you pay with your plastic card on a secure site.
They claim they are 20 per cent cheaper than the Embassy - when I saw how easy it was to get it via the internet did not bother with the Embassy - had enough of VFS et al.
When we got to HCMC (Saigon) we waited about 15 mins to get our entry visa and did not have to pay anything when we left the country. Other people have told us they waited longer but depends whether you fly direct from UK where there would be many more people who use this service than fly on a smaller plane from Bangkok where lots of the passengers were Vietnamese.
You just need apply online on our website. We will send you the confirmation email after your settle payment successfully. After 2 working days ( except Saturday Sunday and holiday ) , the Approval Letter will be sent back for you. Please use that letter for boarding plane and getting Visa stamp at VN airport.
Moreover, you need to prepare some more thing to get Visa stamp. These are Application for enter & exit form, 2 photos 4x6 passport size, stamping fee by cash only. ( We will remind you again in the Approval Letter Email )
If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact us.
