Hi
I got sme of those instant coffee cups to put in my case for holiday. Am I ok to put coffee in my case?
Gonna stick some teabags in too
Thanks
Maria
Yeah it's fine Mari. I always take sachets of Kenco 3 in 1 & tea bags for hubby in our cases. I also pack an old mug as I like a big cup of coffee first thing, can't be doing with those small cups that they give you. A) Too small & B) The coffee goes cold too quickly.
I put Nescafe 3in1 in my case, lots of it with a travel kettle and mugs.Love my coffee on the balcony first thing in the morning.
I used to take these but found them not milky enough!
Chivas, you could take some Coffee Mate and coffee and sugar,in plastic tubs, that's what we did until we found the 3in1 sachets
We take a jar of our favourite powdered lemon tea for each week away...
I take some of the cappuchino sachets with me.
i also take some of the cappucino/latte sachets too
me too always take the latte ones with me, however in spain they do there own ones in the supermarkets and they are lush ..
EU is OK, non-EU mediterranean probably.
USA definately not. If you declare it to customs they'll probably confiscate it. It you don't declare it and they find it you get fined - I know someone who had to pay $150 because of a box of tea bags!
As with everything there are two sets of rules, airline security (powdered coffee in sealed branded sachets unlikely to be an issue with any) and customs when you get there. You ask an airline person is it OK and they answer based on security not what happens when you get off. And let's not even go into what various customs would make of sachets of white powder - I wouldn't go anywhere near Dubai or Thailand with that!!!
I remember before the 3 in 1 sachets came out we would take coffee mate with us and we put it in hold luggage when we went to thailand , i had thoughts that if they found it in my hand luggage they might think it was something else and i didn't fancy rolling up a note and snorting coffee mate, you're spot on with checking customs rules for certain places, like dubai don't allow co-cadamol tablets which are widely used for pain relief in the UK.
I wouldn't bother with sugar or milk when we go to Europe, you can always get those till late at night. I couldn't be bothered answering questions if anyone wanted to know what the white stuff is! I took my coffee in large refill sachets this year, as we drink quite a lot of it, hot or iced, and it is expensive out there. We use very little sugar and usually leave some in a pot when we leave.
We always take those little sachets of coffee and coffee mate with us when we go to India as we don't like the coffee sachets that are supplied by the hotel.
