Helen my DIL uses and swearas by ............. Oasis dust it mattifying powder by schwarzkopf, its a powder that you lightly add to the roots of your hair and it gives it lift and hold the style when blowdrying or straightening i suppose , i bought hers for xmas off amazon , not sure if you can buy it in shops or hairdressers
Perhaps you could use the defuser on a hair dryer or you could get round brush and put it in the roots and circle your hair and hairspray underneath it. (Never new it was so hard to explain things through a keyboard!) Tresemme has good volume products for hair which you put on after washing it. My hair is very flat too so I know how you feel!
Have Googled it Llindy and I think it's spelt Osis Dust
I think Helen's looking for a product to use for defining after blowdrying. In the past I've used a fudge and John Frieda's was for blonde hair but I've recently bought SP styling Cream from my salon. It comes in a pump diffuser and you only need a small amount. You apply to your hair after styling and tease out certain areas. I haven't decided whether I like it or not yet
I tend to use the fishfingers moulding wax if I want it to last but it is a bit sticky or kingfisher styling creme which has UV protection in.
http://www.fishsoho.com/ Only just realised after looking at website that they do ladies range too!
whoops another mistake .............
@ Llindy - no worries
Llindy - that's useful info too, although it is a product to style after blow drying that I'm looking for.
hope this helps
Thanks Juby, would they sell that somewhere like Boots, or is it just available at hairdressers?
Helen there's a list here via Google search:-
Cheers Glynis
