Also have read somewhere that a second swimming pool was being built over the winter , but it's not mentioned in the brochures .
Can anyone shed any light on this for me ?(especially the long trousers bit).
we stayed at this hotel the year before and and found it to be of a very high quality especially the food.
yes trousers have to be worn at dinner they were quite strict about that,my hubby just used to get changed into shorts after dinner to go out.
just stayed in may at the corfu's sister hotel (skorpios)opposite. They have built a new swimming pool. as of may 2005 long trousers at dinner still apply. we had an excellent time, the bay is great to swim or snorkel in.
I'm off to Marina Skorpios in August.
Could you tell me how strict the long trousers rule is, and how formal the trousers should be?
I'm fairly new to this kind of holiday so the advice would be appreciated, so I know what to take with me.
Cheers

Its not that strict, i saw blokes in 3/4 trousers and leisure trousers, but no swim/leisure shorts, I took 1 pair jeans and a pair of lightweight trousers.
Hope you have an excellent holiday
The more it rains here, the more I can't wait to get away.
you wont be dissapointed at all, we have stayed at the skorpios for the past 3 years and we have never had anything to moan about at all,
my partner wore 3/4 trousers when we had dinner and there was never a problem...like the other person said - they dont allow you to wear swimming shorts...in regards to the pool - when we were there last sept they were building the other pool at the side of the corfu it will be a great improvement as it probably gets packed during the peak season..thats why we opt for end of the season as its much quieter....
going back again in oct....
best wishes & enjoy your holiday!

We are a party of four adults and have this hotel earmarked for next year. Can't find any adverse reports on it at all which is good! However on looking at the pictures of the beach and the proximity of the sister hotel I am wondering just how busy that little beach will get with people from two hotels using it? Can anyone who has been enlighten me on this please? We are planning on going next May so maybe it won't be that packed. Also are there any places within walking distance from the hotel?
Daph
we went in may this year but didnt stay in this hotel the beach is really little if all you want to do is sunbathe you will be ok ut for us we had to go and find a big beach elsewhere as we had 3 kids and we need space right near the sea so we can watch them cala egos is a nice place if you want any information on places to eat or anything just ask.

their is quite a few shops to look at and quite a few restraunts to go to if you head for the little beach and take the road instead it takes about 15 minutes to cala dor harbour if you go right round it takes you to cala dor itself but we liked cala egos better also you take a trip on a boat from the each takes two hours and you can watch the fish down below.
Anybody done the DIY all-inclusive at the Hotel Marina Corfu . If so could you please leave any details . Especially about the standard of booze available .
I will be going there in 4 weeks time, after enjoying a lovely holiday there last year (on h/b basis). Any info from recent visitors would be appreciated. We didn't pay that much more than when it was h/b, so not sure what to expect.
please tell her we've lost her address and e-mail , please let her know and get in touch again . Cheers.
