It's the airline that charges, not the airport and it depends who you are flying with. Assuming Onur Air, it's £12 per kg the last I heard.

How good is your Turkish Karen Could you maybe contact Onur to see if you could add extra luggage allowance direct prior to travel.
i know its the airline , £12 seems quite high , thought when aegean told me 5-8 might be more, my turkish is very basis lyn can get by on general things but not asking this lol, i might try and contact onur then, was hoping some1 would know for sure lol x
£12 per kg is the norm for excess baggage with charter airlines. It's normally cheaper to pre-book excess baggage, £5-6 per kg normally in 5kg's. Some scheduled airlines charge as much as £35 per kg for excess baggage at check-in.

ive tried and they wont let me pre book said i have to do it at airport which is a pain in the butt lol, thats wot worries me that it could be very high, to be honest i havent tried contacting onur at all only rang aegean flights , i might try that route lol
I've been looking for a contact no in the UK but cant see anything Karen . Theres a few email contact addresses so they might be worth a go . Somebody in their office must be able to read English .
i did read on their site and it implied that even if you had paid for excess it depended on the quantity that day and wasn guaranteed, i might try and manage lol , ill email anyway see if i can get a reply
When we flew with Aegean in May we were nearly 3 kilos overweight over 2 pieces of luggage (our scales were a bit out) but the lady on check-in at Manchester kindly waited while we swapped a bit over to hand luggage, then charged us £10 total for the 2 kilos still over.
Hi we flew to and from Dalaman in April just gone . We were over by 1kilo and were charged £8 hope this helps have a great holiday (:
