Yes very much so. Tends to cater for the British visitor and the Strip can get busy although the Canel d'Amour area is quieter.
Hi Sidari is very much for families and couples, this will be our 6th year in august, we love it, its not to everyones taste though, its very much commercialised, the strip is full of bars, restaurants and shops, some lovely restaurants though and canal de mur area is quieter, but we love it there, loads going on, we stay at the Lagoon studios and apartments just off the strip, we go with first choice, but next year Cosmos are doing the lagoon, its good there, excellent staff, pool brillient, snacks and meals very good, entertainment every night after 10pm as well, i.e. bingo, kareoke, quiz's, killer pool, millionaire, the staff are brillient there, we know them all, nothing is to much for them, but you will find most places in sidari are like that, they are lovely people, hope this helps.
Thinking of doing an AOA to Corfu. What's the chances of ending up in Sidari? Not my first choice but I think it would be ok for my 16 year old son?
I'm not sure of your chances but if you did end up in Sidari I don't think that would be too bad. TBH, the only way I'd do an AOA is if I wasn't fussy where I ended up. If it was me, I'd worry more about ending up in an 18-30 place in Kavos. With all the resorts on Corfu, you'd have to be really unlucky to get that, but is the slight risk a chance you're prepared to take?
Thanks for your replies. TBH we aren't that fussy as it's going to be a cheapish last minute thing (hopefully). Have now started looking at Gouvia; do you have any info on this resort please?
Yeah, not as good as Sidari
