Diving - yes. Did the Discover Scuba course which was about £89 per person including insurance and its well worth it. You spend half a day in the hotel private dive pool, where you first have to swim 10 lengths, then tread water for 15 mins. If you pass that, then you get suited up with the gear on and do some exercises in the pool. You then spend an hour or so in a classroom watching a PADI video, and then have a test at the end of it.

Next morning, 9am you are on the beach in the dive hut getting kitted up again, and you do your dive off the hotel floating platform. I loved every minute of it, the sea was like crystal clear warm bath water! We actually went down to about 15m and were down for over 30 mins. Well, well worth it.

You can walk out on the beach as its coral, you can only enter the sea to swim by walking over the floating jetty thing! You can paddle, and fish come up to your feet, but snorkling is done off the jetty.

Food - no complaints. Didnt have any tummy troubles. Breakfast was lovely, ask to sit outside if its warm enough. Dinner was usually spent on the beach so we ate in the beach bar, which was usually the same food each day, burgers, chips, salads, etc. bit of everything to be honest. You can also eat in the restaurant by the pool, again, nice food, but make sure birds havent been standing on the cutlery! We saw this a lot as they ate scraps of food off the spoons. I think management have addressed this now however.

Evening, we ate in the main restaurant. Again, ask to sit outside if you can. Food was varied, lots of choice, everything you could think of to be honest. The house wine was quite nice as well. After dinner, we walked up to the shopping area where there is a cafe bar. We sat inside on the comfy sofas and smoked the hubba bubba pipe! Try the apple one, very nice. Also, definately try the fresh mint tea, wow, gorgeous! The pipe isnt included in your AI package, but was only about 10 Egyptian.

AI drinks - we found the drinks to be fine. We stuck mostly to the wine and spirits, and unlike many hotels, this one is 24hr AI, so you could also have sandwhiches etc anytime you want! We spent the late evening sat on the terrace overlooking Naama bay. There is a disco area indoors and a nice bar, but it was a bit loud to sit and chill.

A few things are not part of the AI package, such as Fresh Fruit drinks, or certain foods in the Al A Carte restaurants but to be honest it didnt bother us. We stuck to the AI package with no problems. The mini bar in the room was also part of the AI package, again, not many Egypt hotels do this.

Dress code - relaxed, but you have to wear long trousers. By this they just mean no shorts! I wore jeans each night and there was no problem. A few guys also wore those cargo pants type of things which are shorter than trousers but again , no problems.

As for advice, erm, we stayed in the block near the shops which was lovely. The area around the lesuire pool can be noisy. The relax pool is nice if you stay around there. The shopping area is very expensive, but the chemist has everything should you need anything and is very friendly.

There is a hut on the beach where they do massage - we had one at sunset and as there are 2 beds in there you can have one with your partner at the same time, think it was about £30 for an hour body massage. The jacuzzi and spa pools on the beach are not heated by the way! You have to pay if you want to go into the spa, we had a look around but decided it wasnt really worth the £16 or so to go in to use it.

The tuff tuff bus runs reguarly up and down from the beach to reception and is free. The staff dont wait for tips, but I tipped the odd pound coin here and there, usually £2 at a time. Funny thing is, at the end of the holiday, staff usually come up to you as you are leaving and politely ask if you can change all the pound coins they have accumilated into notes for them as they cant exchange the coins! lol. I think I came back with £60 in pound coins in my pockets!!!

Oh yeah, check out the fountains in the pool area which come on later in the night and light up different colours and do different displays. Depending how hot you are feeling, a run through them is quite refreshing, tho watch out for the one which shoots up your shorts leg ha ha ha! :yikes

Honestly, was one of the best holidays I have ever been on, couldnt fault the hotel at all, and from the sounds of it, its very quiet there at the moment so even more relaxing in the infinity pool!
