I am going to Lanzarote (costa tequise) in Aug 2011 staying at .Aparthotel El Trebol
Weather wise, what are the evenings like. Are they usually warm or cool with a breeze therefore feeling chilly.
What sort of temperatures during the day ?
Can anyone recommend any restaurants /bars to have an evening meal/drink
How much should i expect to pay taxi fare from airport to resort?
Thanks
The El Trebol is about 10mins walk to the square, and that area seems to catch the wind a little more than the square area. There will probably be a breeze as Costa Teguise is the windiest resort in Lanzarote, so take a cardi or jumper for the evenings, you will want to take it off when you reach the centre
Day temperatures are around 80 degrees but don't be fooled if it's a bit cloudy as you will certainly burn if you don't put suntan lotion on.
Our favourite restaurants are El Patio, La Vaca Loca and La Hacienda which are in the square area, our favourite bar is Chispas also in the square, very cheap drinks
also The Lighthouse. Just outside your apartments is Cactus Jacks, some entertainment on in there.
Taxi fare 20-25 euros.
Have a fab time.....Caz

as caz says cactus jacks does good food and does have entertainment-we have spent a few good nights in there when we were in costa teguise. There is a little tapas resturant in the square that we have never got round to going to (must go back to costa teguise just to sample the menu in there) but looks loverly, a nice place for a special meal, quite small and intimate infact there are only 6 tables in there if my memory serves me correctly
I cant remember the name but maybe caz will no which one i am refering to.
have a great holiday

lily/caz - have either of you been mid April time?
There are so many restaurants around that I would be hard pressed to say which one is the best as we are creatures of habit and go to our tried and trusted ones. As we like the atmosphere of the square we tend to eat in El Patio the most, which is very popular, if you are having a drink next door at Chispas and it looks busy just have a word with the friendly PR man who stands outside the restaurant and ask him to call you when there is a table available as I expect it will be busy in August.
We are staying again in November and will venture into the Playa Bastion area in the evening which will be a change, as there are some recommended places there.
Helen, we stayed in CT in March and May this year and the weather was about the same and I wouldn't hesitate going in April, as you are probably aware in can be a bit windy sometimes but if you are in a sheltered place it's not that noticeable, it feels cooler when you walk around the bay.
The relaxation and friendliness of the resort draws us back all the time, we used to stay in PDC but after getting a late deal to CT a couple of years ago we just keep going back

hi rwesty
la vaca loca in the square is fantastic, we ate there 3 times out of 7. they specialise in argantinian steaks(mouthwatering) but also do tapas fish pizza etc.
its only a small place and you may have to book but its out of this world.
lots of reviews for it on ta
regards tracey

both times we visited costa teguise was in april one of which being our honeymoon
We have been at the begining and end of april both times weather was great, was a little breezy but thats the norm and when it does get hot its a welcome breeze. Great if you like to walk as the breeze is refreshing Both hols were lazy round the pool hols and strolls around the resort and we came back rested and tanned
I know slightly
but we have been to fuerteventura the begining of april and had really good sitting around the pool weather there as well. Love both islands so hard to choose
