We've stayed in 2 such apartments but a long time ago and I don't recall the name of either of them unfortunately.

One was in Portugal quite close to the main dual carriageway in Albufeira. I was sharing it with my friend and she snores so we were quite happy with that arrangement.

The other was in Marmaris with a basement bedroom and the main living area on the top level.

Would a 1 bedroom apartment with the bedroom door shut to the living room/sofa bed not work for you?

Tried this on our last holiday but still heard him even with earplugs.
Down stairs now at home and it is working out fine.
Will have to get seperate hotels - lol

Barranco apartments in Tenerife, Playa de las Americas. I stayed in a one bed apartment. Upstairs was the bathroom and bedroom. Wasn't fancy but clean.

Stayed in the sonemar apartments in Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, they were like this. An upstairs bedroom and bathroom and a downstairs L shapped sofa bed arrangement for the kids who were little, maybe would be OK for one adult. not posh by any means, but if you need to sleep, you need to sleep.

Also the Marina Club apartments in Lagos on the Algarve, not duplex all on one level.

If you get a first or second floor, 1 bed, facing the pool, you get a bedroom with a proper door and then a hallway bit before you go into the Lounge/kitchenette which has two sofa single beds one by each wall with quite a bit of floor space inbetween. Sofa beds were a decent size for once.

You could take the one by the far wall, then you would be quite a way from the noise, or you could take the bedroom.

Thanks for all your replies - I am looking at a private apartment in Menorca at the moment but these will all be on file for the next hols if hubby still makes a noise so if anyone thinks of any please don't hesitate to write
