My mum loves the Fortina Spa Resort in Sliema, never been myself but mother is extremely fussy and she says it's great. She normally books it D.I.Y.

Thanks for your replies both - I'll take a look :tup

Both hotels look great, but as this isn't our main holiday the Radisson prices are a little steep for us. The Fortina is a definite possibility It seems to tick all our boxes :tup

Mums been twice and loves it their she normally goes for a long weekend, so have most of her friends from work on her recommendations. I think you can also book through Olympic holidays.

Great location for exploring, you can just hop on a bus and have a nosey around the island.

You can't go wrong. The sunshines all year long :cheers

Oh I forgot to mention, have a look in the hack of the Sunday papers you can sometimes grab some bargains to the Fortuna , especially winter sun.

Have a look at Chevron and Mercury they both specialise in Malta and don't worry about the distance from the airport - Malta is a small island and transfers to anywhere are quick.

Well I've taken the plunge and booked the flights with Easy jet from Gatwick. I'll probably book the hotel later on today, but have one or two I'd like to check out first - so far the Fortina is winning :tup

Couldn't find anything nicer than the Fortina for the price that I'd found, so it's been booked. Twin room with garden view HB - £715 for both of us - smashing price for Easter. Roll on April 5th :tup Just had another bargain - Booked a room for the night before our flight and car parking for 8 days at the Gatwick Worth for £75. Going through the Quidco cashback site Holiday Extras were giving 15% off :tup

Yep - I've got loads of questions already, but I'm going to save them, or I'll have nothing left to ask come next March :rofl

Glad you gals have got it sorted.
The Fortina has been on our list to visit for years - it used to be advertised in all the daily papers.
It certainly looked stunning. Also, I think you can have cosmetic surgery there - not that you need
it Helen!!!
Not long to wait now - just get Autumn/Winter/Christmas over and before you know it you will be there! :cheers

Don't know what to think of that Suzie :rofl
In all the years we've been going abroad, hubby has only ever picked the destination once - Santorini. Usually I decide the country, resort & hotel but manage to somehow create the impression that he had a say in it :tup :rofl This year, he's picked the country, the resort was recommended by a friend on here, and I gave him the choice of 2 hotels and he picked the Fortina.
