Hi, I just wanted to share my bad experience with an agent/owner of a villa (really an apartment) via Holiday Lettings in the lovely village of Cala Murada (Majorca). Booked 8 weeks before arrival date, all went well, spoke with agent, very helpful (or so i thought...!)Once we arrived we soon realised that wewere lied too. Guy appeared at the door as he saw lights on? Seems we had a live in caretaker above us in the unused 4th bedroon of the villa. We were never told about him during our booking or prior to arrival, the guy was up banging about every morning around 7am, we also power issues, power off during the hours of 2am and 6.30am made for very hot nights with no aircon!! Again not disclosed prior to arrival (letter left in property, bit late then) if we were made aware we could have been prepared (fans, torches, etc). When asked why, the owner just "spins" her way out of it not addressing the issues we raised directly, we have been badly treated and still have not received a reason or more importantly an apology. We have dealt with a number of villa owners over the years but have never encountered anything like this......do these people not want to ensure customer satisfaction? Anyway book these properties at your peril, they are both described as villas, apartments more like, sorry but we were disgusted at how we were and have been treated, hence the post.....El Vila (has the lodger upstairs) and Vale La Pena, Cala Murada - holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/"¦160310. On a final note the village of Cala Murada is lovely, food in La Dorada is cracking, as are all the restuarants in the area. I wish someone had posted a review similar would have saved me a lot of money and hassle!!
