Hi

My husband was due to fly out to Madagascar this morning via Paris on Air France but because the first leg of the trip was delayed he would have missed his connecting flight. They have transfered him onto a BA flight to Schipol & then a Kenyan flight to Nairobi & then a further flight from Nairobi to Madagascar. The trouble is his layover in Schipol is 8 hours. He has checked in luggage so will he be able to leave the airport or will he have to stay in the transit area?

They didn't offer any sort of compensation at all? Instead of it being a 14 hour journey it's turned into a 24 hour journey & on a cheaper route too.
