My girlfriend, her daughter & I plan to have a week in Tenerife or Lanzarote in the February half term. We would probably choose AI but if not it would be self catering. Either way we would need a 1 bed apartment rather than hotel room. If we went self catering it would need to be in a resort which has plenty of reasonably priced places to eat. We like to swim so a heated pool would also be preferable.

Given your requirements, for Tenerife you need to be in any of Los Cristianos, Las Americas or Costa Adeje, for Lanzarote it would be Puerto Del Carmen.

ive been puerto del carmen and didnt think much of it to be honest fanabe in tenerife is nice. not sure how old the daughter is but theres much more going on and the siam waterpark is supposed to be amazing. the fanabe costa sur, sunwing fanabe both have good reviews and do all inc or b and b i think and i was thinking about there for next year.
