I don't think you'll be sorry Fiona - we've been to Playa Del Carmen twice and had a lovely time.

In the last week we have been going to Hanoi, Hua Hin, Barbados, Bali, Singapore...... I'm totally done in now and need a holiday Flights are just so expensive now. Will have to spend time working out what we want to do apart from the beach and eating an drinking!

I'd recommend the ferry trip over to Cozumel Fiona.

Hi Fiona, we had a great holiday in Playa del Carmen. Apart from lazing on the beautiful beach we took a trip or two. One of the highlights for me was the Catamaran trip where we spent time sailing, snorkeling and hanging on for dear life to a huge net that was lowered from the back of the boat whilst being dragged through the sea- excellent fun.

Great choice Fiona ! we went to the sister hotel, sandos caracol and had the time of our lives. There is so much to do in that area, you will be spoilt for choice ! The locals are extreemly friendly and helpfull, its brill walking around downtown playa del carmen, bartering in the shops, you will have a ball !
