On the whole, yes. Can get far more over the counter here than you can in the UK. But of course it depends on the medication.

Also you might not get the same brand name drugs but can get the generic equivalent instead. So worth knowing the scientific name of the drugs - or bring the container / box which has this info on and that will help the pharmacist.
