Christina Appts. are on the beach road passing through Platanes, which is actually about 7kms from the main town of Rethymnon. Platanes is part of a strip of similar resorts, including Pigianos and Adele Kambos. Though generally a quite busy road, during daytime most of the visitors are by the pool or on the beach. In the evening it is still relatively quiet, certainly not rowdy, with people of all nationalities wandering out for a meal or drink at one of the many bars or restaurants. There are sandy beaches close by, and plenty of supermarkets. Buses are readily available to take you into town and provide different sightseeing opportunities from the main bus station there.
