BrenLiz, Thats a great post, I'm sure it will help a lot of people, WE will certainly be giving quite few of them a go during our four week stay.
Great post and in my experience the After7 bill looks about a 1000 ruppees short to what we have paid in the past.
Nice to see that we are not the only ones to like a .............................. bottle of wine.
Look forward to trying a few of your other suggestions.
Regards,
Papa
Some good prices there - what was your choice of wine ? Have tried Sula (I think it's called that, hic hic..) not brilliant stuff but drinkable.
We drank mostly the Madeira brand. We usually drink red but our friend who was with us likes white and we found this okay to drink with our meals. If we couldn't get this we drank any Chenin Blanc we could get which was also okay. We didn't think After 7 was as expensive as we used to think it was and we found it much busier this year.
Spike , come on mate, you know it was the spillage rung out from a dripping cloth you were drinking !
I know its supposed to be special but when you can hear your "fillet" steak being "tenderised" from several meters away and then find it stringy and tough it is a bit much to then still be paying top money.
Setting superb no doubt but for me prices a bit high.
However after brenliz gives it a good report may well try it again in Feb/March.

Papa, like you we gave it a miss last year as we thought it was expensive. We had the steak this time and it was very good. Hope you have a better experience this time.
Asian Fusion is the best way to describe it. Thai, Chinese and a hint of Japanese.
We had 6 starters all well cooked and presented.
The quality and taste compared well with Oriental and Kim Fa.
Small with a good setting. Definatly the best new restaurant we have eaten at this year.
Roy's sounds very nice, does anyone know the location please ?
Roxey - Roy's has moved from the Stonehouse area. He is now just off the main Candolim beach road, on the right as you walk down towards the beach, not far from Titus Roma Pisa. We went in November 2011.
From the previous page for you - one for us to try this year also.
Thanks Spike
We enjoy the process of going to the market and buying fish or prawns and salads, so we actually had a few home cooked meals in the apartment.
When we did go out it tended to be at our favourite places, because we are very careful about trying out new places.
Our list of favourites in no particular order.
Bomras - Just for the delicacy of the flavours.
After Seven - We still think they do the best fillet steak and it's not that expensive..
Kebabs & Curries - When we fancy a curry.
Stonehouse - For the tandoori mixed grill and the music.
La Plage - Definitely the best food available on the beach and it has such a great ambiance.
Baba-au-Rhum (French Bakery) - Great place for breakfast and because it's so French.
Villa Blanche - Organic salads and superb fruit juices.
Café Chocolatti - Lovely sandwiches and salads at lunch and it's so close to the apartment.
Emma's Garden Café - Lovely shady setting and some delicious salads.
Harmony - A new one for us, serving delicious food and great value.
OMG!!! Got to put this on!! Calangute Towers, next to Rabbie Burns, top of POst office Road, think it used to be Royal Foods. Unbelievable hotel, fabulous surroundings, beautiful restaurant, all air conditioned!! Owner showed us the rooms!!! OMG!!!. Little bit more expensive, but for something special, unbelivable!!!! I have been coming to Goa for a lot of years, and seen all the new hotels. Check this out!!! Calnagute Towers!!!
