Due to financial problems Fastnet Line have suspended their service on the Swansea- Cork route for the winter, passengers with bookings will get a refund. They say they intend to restart next April but the wording of their announcement makes it look like they hope for a bailout from Irish authorities so who knows!
Stena Line still have 2 sailings a day on their Fishguard-Rosslare route as an alternative but it might be getting a bit tight around Christmas.

That's a shame It seemed short lived
it was short lived. Basic problem was that original operator gave up because it wasn't commercial so the second lot took it on in the hope of large subsidies from the Irish government - and you can see an obvious problem in that plan!
