I am a single mum with two boys. Both are Irish dancers, dancing at the West County Hotel in Clare. I need to find a reasonably priced B&B nearby the venue.Can anybody recommend somewhere please??

you might try under http://www.ireland.ie and "find accomodation" in the Ennis area? Or also you could phone +353 65 6828366 which is Ennis Tourist Office who might be able to help find reasonable local b and b's 
The West County is actually a very reasonable hotel to stay in - as cheap as a B&B. It is part of the Lynch Hotel group - see their web site at http://www.lynchhotels.com
If you have a car, they also have another hotel a few miles down the road from the West County (about a 10 minute drive) called the Clare Inn. Convenient if you have a car.
