Anyone stayed here recently (I've read the reviews)?
Just wondering if the 'free' wi-fi is definitely free and if the hotel allow guests to leave bags somewhere in reception prior to checking-in?
Some friends and I will be staying here just for one night on the 10th of July as we're visiting the island for a gig at the Mallorca Rocks hotel. Our flight from Gatwick lands at 09.00 and we can check-in to our apartment at 14.00. We will be spending the day on the beach before heading to the MR hotel in the evening but would like to leave our bags, which will only contain a change of clothing and toiletries, in reception first thing if at all possible (obviously we'll keep our passports, money and gig/flight tickets with us).
I've emailed the hotel but have not, as yet, received a reply.
Most hotels have a luggage room so I can't see that being a problem.
That's what I'm hoping Luci
Wifi is most definately free, this year it is in all the apartments whereas before it was only available in reception.

Enjoy your 1 night stay there. :tup
Ah that's great, thank you!

We will be there in just over two weeks. We're only spending one night there (it's a trip specifically to go to the Mallorca Rocks gig on the 10th of July) so won't get to see much but I'll post a review based on what I do see.
Thanks Pippy, an up to date review of the hotel would be appreciated.
You're welcome
Does anyone happen to know if these apartments are within walking distance (I'd consider a twenty minute walk as being 'within walking distance' but probably wouldn't want to be walking for much longer than that in the afternoon heat!) of the Mallorca Rocks hotel?
I'd say it was about a 10 to 15 minute walk!

Oh that's good then, we were just a bit concerned we'd get lost on the way back there after the gig at the Mallorca Rocks hotel! If it's that close then there is less potential for us to get lost. In theory, at least!
Have you looked on google earth? We are staying at the Viva Palma Nova which I believe is next door to the Cas Sabonas! It seems quite an easy route as in only two or three roads!

I've tried numerous times but it crashes my computer every time for some reason!
Have to say I'm a little nervous at the prospect of Magaluf at night!
It's not too bad, there are a lot of groups etc but they all seem to having fun! You get the odd idiot or some kid who can't handle the beer but if you keep your wits about you then you should be fine! Just play a game of 'count the mankinis'

Ha ha! Can foresee it won't just be photos of the Kasabian gig my camera will be used for!
The hotel looked great, only trouble was all the young people making noise all hours of the night!. I was so glad when we finally moved to the Viva the next day!!!

Oh, really?! What a coincidence!
We only spent a few short hours in our pool-side apartment, didn't use any of the facilities and didn't have anything to eat or drink there (didn't even use the kettle). For this reason, I'm not going to add a review-proper as it would be hopelessly lacking in useful information.
Suffice to say, the apartment was fine, nothing special but absolutely adequate in terms of comfort, size and décor. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Pool area looked fine but can't comment on the pool temperature as didn't go in (we spent the afternoon on the beach, not sure which one but it wasn't right in the tow), before going to the gig in the evening.
Location was fine for our needs. Found the Mallorca Rocks Hotel easily, just turned left out of the reception area, left at the end of the road then walked down the hill and took the second right. Probably took about fifteen minutes.
My pics from the trip are HERE but think we only took one in the apartment and that was just one of Tasha messing about with my hair! Few of the beach, flight and then the rest taken at the gig down at the Mallorca Rocks Hotel.
If any of my favourite bands happen to play Mallorca Rocks in the future, I'd happily book an apartment (I booked independently with booking.com) at Playas Ca's Saboners again, but wouldn't choose the resort for a holiday.
NIce one, those pics look cool!
