Hi
I'm looking for a nice, quietish hotel for an October break this year. The Anais Bay looks as if it would be good. Has anyone stayed here recently? Also could anyone recommend any good, reasonably priced local tavernas nearby for dinner? We like to eat traditional Greek food rather than British when on Holiday.
I've found Holiday Truths again after a few years and have read all the posts about it possibly closing. Hopefully this will not now happen and I intend to visit more in the future. I've become increasingly disillusioned with Trip Advisor, as it's getting harder to work out which reviews are accurate as they are often at totally different ends of the scale when rating hotels. Also, it is often clear that some rave reviews are written by owners or people with a financial interest in the property, or bad ones by rival hotel owners or people with a grudge? Anyway it seems like the moderators on Holiday Truths try hard to keep everything fair, so hopefully more accurate and useful. I'll make sure I post all my reviews here in the future.
Thanks
not used this hotel myself but i can tell you that it has decent reviews and was [the last time i was in Penera] family run, its in an area which has undergone a lot of development in recent years there are traditional tavernas in the village but we always went into Paralimni to get the more authentic ones
