Im going to be in Turkey at the same time as my friend in May and im trying to find out how much it would cost roughly to text each other whilst both in the same place ?
does anyone have any ideas?

You'll probably find the costs on your respective operators websites. It's normally around 55p per text message so not cheap.

Im on o2 and cant find any info on the o2 website regarding sending and receiving calls/text in turkey.
My plan is to turn internet off on my phone so i dont get roaming charges, but what about receiving calls and text?

It's 30p to send a text.
Definitely turn off any data and the internet is littered with people who have come back to bills of over £1000 when checking Facebook while on holiday.
