British tourist dies in Greek tragedy
A British holidaymaker has died in a parachuting accident on the Greek island of Zante, said the BBC.
The 42-year-old tourist, who was holidaying on the island with his heavily pregnant girlfriend, was base jumping off a cliff at Navagio beach in the northwest of Zante (Zakynthos).
A local police officer said the man's parachute snagged on the cliff face, trapping the 42-year-old on the rocks for three hours. He fell to his death before emergency services could reach him.
He has been named as Jake Simkins by the Foreign Office, which is assisting his family.
