Foreign Office amends travel advice for Tunisia
The Foreign Office has amended its advice for Tunisia after authorities lifted the curfew that had been imposed on eight regions, including the capital, last week.
It reminded travellers that a State of Emergency exists in the country and that curfews or other temporary movement restrictions may be imposed or changed with little or no notice.
However, it is not warning against travel to the country and there are no travel restrictions in place.
The government of Tunisia blamed ultra-conservative Islamists for last week's violence, which led to the eight-hour night-time curfew, however they have denied involvement.
