The Horizon is part of the De Souza Group and is a better than OK kind of place

You will find it in a quiet location down a little lane just off the main drag in Calangute almost opposite the old petrol station but there is also a back lane that brings you out near the MU pub on the Baga Road, just cross the road leads to the beach, if you turn right and walk down the beach you will come to TGI Fridays shack which in our opinion is the start of the good shacks, look out for Bobby's, Big Banana, Bosco, Xavier, Shining Star and lots of other good shacks right up to Cafe del Mar which used to be very good but last season the staff where lazy and the service was rubbish

Look out for Harry's restaurant on the back lane, a great place for fresh fish also his daal fry & chapatti's are fantastic

Stayed there for the millennium and it was fine, quiet but very central. Only complaint, the swimming pool, certainly in dec, jan, is completely in the shadow of the hotel and consequentially can be very cold at this time of year.
