We travelled with Direct Holidays last year and when we phoned to book (their on-line system wasn't working) the person we spoke to double checked without being asked whether we were cheaper booking one of the kids through as an adult (the other was free).

Did ring Thomsons Hback as was very upset especially as operator was surly and got through to pleasant young lady who seemed quite as suprised as I did. Her first response was that they wouldnt be able to use kids facilities when told her there was none she seemed quite shocked. She went off to ask a team leader and came back with the same answer as the previous adviser although I got the impression that she thought it was ridiculous too. Maybe was same team leader as before??What is annoying is that they are selling the accommodation alone for $1095 the same price whether you book in 2 adults or 2 children and 4 adults so they are obviously not paying any difference for apartment only. Seems to be a huge ploy to get extra money from families in the school holidays. Will give shop a ring tomorrow and see what they come up maybe book in my mums name!!

just thought i would update on the above situation. Rang the local shop today explained price was cheaper for 4 adults, could she cost up the holiday and maybe match the internet price. Didnt bat an eye at the request to book them in as adults. Rang me back matched the internet price and we are all booked in as adults. I have complained on the thomson website but doubt will get a reply!!
