So the hubby and I are off to Goa in November. So excited . Had booked originally with thomascook but they messed us about so cancelled. So just booked it all tonight separately. One week at the Santana beach resort and then one week at the Leela kempinski.
congrats,youll love it
Im sure you will be like the rest of us and fall in love India. There is something about the place and the people that just stays with you. If you have any questions feel free to ask and we will all do our best to help
Isn't the Leela Kempinski near Delhi?
The Leela Goa on the other hand is a lovely hotel, although I recommend not using the hotel pseudo beach shack outside and instead wandering out and left and sampling the bars further down towards Carmona Zalor.

Friends stayed there last winter, said it was mega-expensive (even by European standards) and full of scrapping Russians, and nothing was done about them.
We are moving South to the Leela Kempinski which is 300m to Cavelossim if that helps. It's the 5 star resort one. I think there are a few different leelas about though!

Nice place, well out of my price range.. I'm sure you are going to enjoy it
Mine too, Spike! Looks great, though.
Hope you'll enjoy it Greenshoes. I'd suggest you really enjoy the 5 star treatment but have a few trips to the more basic shacks and restaurants as well.
If you come out of the Leela and turn left, there are some decent beach shacks which aren't too busy about 10 minutes walk down the beach. We spent all our time there last year.. Travellers Inn I think it was called. There's also some nice temples around South Goa which are worth visiting. If you like fishing there are some people on the beach who we used who took us fishing and arranged a nice lunch on a secluded beach further down South with lots of Kingfisher!
