Hi
Long time no post!
Myself and two girlfriends are booked to stay in Montana Pine Resort Hotel at the beginning of May. We are all booked to stay in the same room, there wasn't any chance to upgrade the room on the Thompson website but I had read if you emailed direct you could do it.
The first things I did was to check whether because there were three of us sharing a room would we get an automatic upgrade to a superior room. The answer was no we would get a standard room with two twin beds and a fold up bed ( I am assuming this is better than a camp bed!). I asked if there was any possibility of upgrading as we are three middle-aged ladies. They said we could upgrade to a Mountain View Standard Triple room with three proper beds at a cost.
What I am trying to ascertain is whether there is a difference in the room sizes as there does not seem much point in upgrading if the room isn't any bigger. 3rd friend is tiny and not worried about being on a fold up/sofa bed.
So does anyone have any insight into room types and sizes.
Many thanks
Montana has standard rooms (as far as I'm aware all the same size) with either a mountain or valley view. The superior rooms are refurbished and some have pool views. They also offer suites (either valley, mountain or superior with pool view) but these are essentially 2 standard rooms with a connecting door. The rooms are quite a good size, i don't think i'd upgrade unless the cost was minimal. At the beginning of May the hotel won't be full so you could always ask to check the rooms on arrival and make a decision then.
