Anyone else doing the same as me- going onto sky news when you waken up to find out about the plane? So now they think it has been hijacked. Why has no-one admitted it. I have the horrible feeling that we are going to end up thinking it would have been better if it had crashed. It's a scarey time for everyone- relatives, those taking flights and anyone living anywhere where this plane could possibly end up. In a world where we are sadly used to aeroplane disasters, this has taken it to a new dimension.
I just don't want to think about what has happened to the passengers and I cannot comprehend what their relatives are going through.
Whenever a plane is hijacked the pilot changes the channel number of th transponder so that a red box surrounds it's ' squark' displayed in the control tower. Some inside knowledge is at work here.
There was a pilot on the radio the other day who said that if the hijackers have aviation knowledge then they could prevent the pilot from touching anything?

Only in areas of radar coverage. Large areas of the world have no radar coverage.
Other experts have now said the plane was picked up 400 miles from Cairns in Australia, not on radar but another form of contact?
It must be dreadful for relatives waiting for news and even worse for the people on board as it is now 1 week since it disappeared.
Would they still need the passengers?....... only if they are to be used in a hostage situation I fear.
It couldnt possibly still be flying? It wouldnt have any fuel?
I wonder what changes will now be made for air travel security now. It's pretty alarming that the security that we are already meant to have in place has been breached so easily by the looks of it. Falso passports, luggage kept on plane despite no shows, and of course we have the photos of the co pilot on another flight with girls in the flight deck.
On a recent Ryanair flight we had the front row extra leg room seats & I noticed that the seatbelt sign would go on 5 mins before one of the flight crew left the cockpit to use the toilet.
Still no news? It is really incredible how we still are no nearer to knowing what happened
The latest news today is that Australia are now discounting the Indian Ocean as the final resting place of the plane.
