I was recently reading an article with that title. The first tip was
Fly business or first class
Gee- I never thought of that . Why doesn't everyone think of that?
I am sure we could do better with the tips!
The one I use is to have 2 glasses of red wine with my meal( I know, I know) and then settle down with a bottle of water handy, put on my earphones and listen to music that I have already picked to play from the BA selection and put it on loop. I put the music on really low and shut my eyes. I never hear the second half of the songs before drifting off.
I like to listen to music whilst relaxing on my sunbed but not really when travelling .
I rarely sleep on a plane, hubby is asleep before take off I prefer to listen to something be it music or a downloaded film, just because it drowns out all the chatter
Sleeping on the plane can cause DVT as its recommended you move your legs.
I'm usually like a child on a plane, and too excited to sleep even if I am cream crackered
Short naps is all I can ever achieve in economy class. I have slept for up to six hours in Business Class flights, only ever travelled once in First as it's out of my price range, and that was a shorter flight so didn't need to sleep.
I can't sleep on a plane. The worst time is when we're flying through the night, they lower the lights and insist I put the window blind down .............. and then people start snoring!
It was hilarious, the staff don't just deserve paying they deserve real gold medals, dashing about with lap belts for the infants, escorting pre-take off toilet runs, insisting parents put down arm rests for take off and landing. Best entertainment I have had in ages.
Oh and the amount of trunkies that were on board I swear they were multiplying in the overhead lockers
Never manage to sleep on flights, don't do long haul and too inquisitive to sleep on short haul.

I think that I am probably one of those snorers It can be both an asset and a nuisance to others that I can sleep on a clothes line as the old saying goes! Headphones on, start up the plainsong playlist, wrap myself up in the pashmina and I'm away. My record is being woken up by a member of cabin crew so that she could check that my seatbelt was on under the pashmina ready for take-off
SM
that's funny Doe know what you mean about the trunkies had to duck from a few flying round the airport floor
